Are We Alone?

Humanity lives in a world a lot more complex than we realize. First there is God (Genesis 1:1). We must understand He is a triune God. Father, "Word" or Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). The Word spoke all things into existence for His good pleasure (John 1:3). He became the Son of God once He was born a babe in Bethlehem (Luke 1: 6-7). Jesus lived His life on earth to show us how to live and then He gave His life on the Cross, a sacrifice to God (Luke 23:33). All relationships with God comes thru Jesus Christ, all relationships with Jesus come through the Cross (Phil. 2:10).

Myriads and myriads of angels exist. Cherubim, Seraphim and Archangels also exist. All have their place in the kingdom of God (Rev. 5:11). In the Old Testament there were times when the angel of the Lord appeared to men. God manifested Himself in human form, ministering Spirits to all that are heirs of salvation. In the church age, the leading and guiding of the saints is through the Holy Spirit, but the Holy angels are sent to minister to those that are saved (Acts 27:23).

There is nothing to hard for God, but we must come to God in the right manner. The world says because there is a need, God should answer all our prayers. But God doesn't act because of a problem or a need, but to faith in His Holy Word. The Cross is our access to God. Jesus opened up the way. God is love and all His dealings with man is for good (1 John 4:8)

The devil is a negative force in the spirit world. His nature is hate. He came to kill, to steal and to destroy. There was a time that he was in heaven, in the very presence of God. An angel of worship, conducting the choirs of heaven around God's throne.. But, he had a thought in his heart, "the very core of his being", I will ascend above the throne of God and I will demand worship like God. He led a rebellion against God and one third of the Heavenly Host followed him in this insurrection. There was war in Heaven and the devil was cast out (Rev. 12:7, 2Peter 2:4).

How does this relate to us today? There are two powers that are competing for our devotion. Jesus is saying, "Come unto Me and I will give you rest." How does He do this? Through the Cross we have peace with God, even the forgiveness of sin. The devil is saying follow me and I will bring you to destruction. Well not is such an obvious manner as that. The Bible reveals that there is pleasure in sin for a season, but the end brings death. First, the physical death, then the spiritual death. God is saying the Cross, one way to God. A close and narrow way. Satan is saying let go, enjoy life, don't hold back. A broad and unrestricted way. Satan's world is a maze of deception, mysteries and dark shadows with half truths. There are two ways, one is Love, Joy and Peace in the Holy Ghost. The other way is anything goes, but it leads to destruction.

Now to the heart of this message. The world is full of voices competing for the minds of men. There are three places that all inspiration comes from, God, Satan and self. God is saying, Come unto Me. Satan is saying, bow your knee to me and self is saying, I must chose my destiny and do my own thing. The latter example of self is the state of all humanity. (Isaiah 53:6)

God is reaching out to all people, to pluck some out of destruction. Satan is reaching out to separate all people from God. It doesn't matter what he uses to accomplish his agenda, just as long as that person doesn't come to God through Christ. All the kingdoms of this world are designed to keep all people from God and bring all persons to destruction. This is carried out in many ways. There is only one way to God, it is through Jesus Christ the Lord. Anyone that isn't living his life in this respect is on their way to destruction. The voices of this world are looking for places to lodge in. For example, a young man is looking for his sexual identity. A voice of a demon spirit whispers, you should have been a woman, you have those tendencies. Does God care that this young man is being led in the wrong direction? Yes He does, but He works through the Cross. This person will lose his way if he doesn't find the truth in God's Word and there is deliverance in the Cross. In the Old Testament, God forbid His people to have contact with familiar spirits. The spirit possesses a person in the past and was present and most probably had an influence in that persons life. Naturally he would know all about this person. A person that is being deceived is thinking he is experiencing a past life, when he is only channeling a work of a familiar spirit. Are we alone? Not at all! God created all that is in the world for good. It has been perverted by Satan and humanity. But God remains faithful and there is deliverance through the Blood of Christ on the Cross. Faith in His finished work brings us to the Cross. Trusting exclusively in Jesus and the Cross gives God great pleasure when we trust the great and mighty God that spoke all things into existence. So we can have faith in Him. You see, God knows the way through the wilderness and all we have to do is follow. There isn't anything that God can't do, but it's only through the Cross that He works. You see it's His salvation (Rev. 22:12-14). No man (person) will be saved apart from the Cross. If your faith is in the Cross, you will be saved.

Revelation 22:15 says "For outside are dogs and sorcerers and fornicators and murderers and idolaters and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie." It doesn't make any difference how popular you are, only the Cross saves. Apart from the Cross, Gods says, they are lost.
