SALVATION

The Bible clearly teaches that we can know if we have eternal life. 1 John 5:13 tells us

"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

God has made His plan of salvation very clear to us in the Bible.

Romans Road To Salvation

(Romans 3:10) As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is no one who is right with God without being saved.

(Romans 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Everyone has sinned (broken Gods Commandments) except for Jesus himself.

(Romans 5:12) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Through Adam sin and death entered into the world and has been passed down to all generations.

(Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The penalty for sin is death - this includes spiritual death, which is separation from God, and in eternity those who are separated from God go to Hell. But Gods gift to man though Jesus Christ is eternal life.

(Romans 5:8) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
God showed his love for us by Jesus dying on the cross in our place -taking our penalty of sin, which is death. Jesus died for all sinners.

(Romans 10:9) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If we confess Jesus is the Lord and we are sinners in need of salvation, and we truly believe in our heart that He was raised from the dead, then we will be saved. We must believe in our heart unto righteousness - that means we believe and repent of our sins. We must believe in our hearts and make a confession to be saved.

(Romans 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Verse 13 tells us whosoever truly calls upon the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved - no matter who they are. God has no racial or social barriers. Anyone can get saved.

What We Must Do
  • We must first believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again.
  • We must repent of our sins.
  • We must confess to God that we are a sinner.
  • We must accept Christ as our Lord and Savior.
  • We must continue and live for God.
  • A Prayer For Salvation

Dear God, I know I have sinned and I want to ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for my sins. I now accept your offer of eternal live. I will follow Jesus as my Savior and try to obey Him in all that I do. Thank you for my new life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen
